Designed and made this for a local company near Tokyo.
I made a stamp from rubber, very hard to carve, then made about 300 coffee cups with the name on them, each hand made, it took a long time and was too much work!
Since moving to Japan from California 26 years ago, I ve had to
re-think design, I found myself doing a lot very analog and tactile design projects.
Not so much the Mac, softwares or the tools from California. interesting… I’ve kind of grown to like it.

making a 3rd un-varnished, no plastic coating zero shiny protective coat, super thin and long table.
why? In Tokyo the house space is small, a long thin table works great, the no varnish? - its cheaper and doesn’t get marks on it. if you spill something, you just sand it off…
