📂 Project Title: Case Study: The Broken UX of the #invideocontrachallenge (An Invisible Barrier for New Creators) 🏷️ Role & Attributes: Role: Video Editor / UX Critic Tools Used: InVideo AI, Contra Workspace, Automated Support Loops Project Type: Technical Assessment & Community Feedback 📝 Project Overview: This project serves as a live, verified case study detailing the technical friction and operational breakdown within the official InVideo x Contra Partnership Challenge. While designed to celebrate community talent and incentivize creators with an $11K prize pool, the current onboarding funnel features a critical technical blocker. This assessment documents the systemic failure to deliver promised workspace tools to new creator profiles ahead of the October 12 deadline. 🛑 The Challenge Brief vs. The Reality 1. The Promise (Guidelines) The challenge explicitly states that participating creators will be provided with the necessary workspace upgrades, Max plan features, and AI editing credits required to execute the video brief. 2. The Verification (Marketing vs. Access) My initial submission was successfully tracked by the system. In fact, the Contra platform actively selected my account post to be Featured publicly to drive community engagement metrics. 3. The Technical Blocker (The Invisible Barrier) Despite fulfilling 100% of the creator guidelines, submitting the required Workspace ID, and completing the validation forms days ago, the account remains hard-locked on the free tier. The necessary tools to fulfill the video brief have not been provisioned. 📉 Support Pipeline Breakdown & AI Loops When attempting to resolve this technical blocker through official support vectors, the system experienced a total breakdown of human oversight: Radio Silence: Standard support queues failed to respond as the critical deadline ticked away. Automated Gatekeeping: The ticketing pipeline returned 5 conflicting, automated AI responses from "Eva at InVideo." The Bait-and-Switch Mechanism: Rather than resolving the challenge allocation, the support automation explicitly directed the user to the platform’s checkout page to pay out-of-pocket for a Max plan subscription to complete a challenge entry that was advertised as open and free. 💡 Strategic Takeaway Talent isn't measured by a follower count. 🪵✨ By allowing technical blocks to freeze out starter profiles while simultaneously using their content for featured platform metrics, brands miss out on raw, highly capable technical editors. An "open" community challenge must hold up its end of the operational bargain. Forcing smaller creators into an automated payment loop hours before a deadline ruins trust and damages community health. 🛠️ Action Item for Platform Managers: Status: Pending Manual Intervention. Required Resolution: A human community moderator or system administrator must manually bypass the automated billing tier and unlock the promised Max plan features for the verified Workspace ID associated with this profile.

he absolute state of the #invideocontrachallenge is an absolute joke. @invideoio and @contra are dangling an $11K prize pool to farm engagement from smaller creators, only to completely lock us out of the tools needed to actually compete. Here is the exact timeline of how broken this user experience is: 1️⃣ I joined the challenge, followed every single guideline, and submitted my Workspace ID days ago. 2️⃣ Contra literally SELECTED my post to be featured on their platform. They are happy to use my profile for their marketing metrics. 3️⃣ Yet, behind the scenes, InVideo completely failed to deliver the promised Max plan upgrade and AI editing credits. 4️⃣ When I reach out to support because the Oct 12 deadline is ticking away, I don't get a human. I get hit with 5 different generic, garbage AI auto-replies from "Eva at InVideo" telling me that if I want the features... I should just go to the checkout page and PAY FOR IT MYSELF. Are you serious? You launch an "open" community challenge promising free tools, ghost the creators who actually spend hours participating, and then program your support bot to upsell us a paid subscription just so we can submit our entry? This proves exactly what everyone fears about these corporate challenges: you don't care about raw talent or smaller profiles. You freeze out starter accounts, ignore our support tickets, and prioritize ultra-well-known creators with massive follower counts. Talent isn't measured by a follower count. 🪵✨ If you are going to host a massive community challenge, HOLD UP YOUR END OF THE DEAL. Stop hiding behind broken AI chatbots. A human community manager needs to look at my support tickets, open my email, and manually unlock my Workspace ID right now. I did my part. Do yours.

Complete failure on the user experience for the #invideocontrachallenge. I submitted my workspace ID days ago, only to be met with total silence, followed by AI auto-replies from InVideo support telling me to just "buy the Max plan" myself. You dangled an $11K prize pool to get small creators to join, but you aren't even giving us the basic AI tools promised in your guidelines to complete the brief. Talent isn't measured by follower count, but right now, it feels like only the ultra-well-known profiles are getting access. Someone from the community team needs to act like a human, check your support inbox, and manually fix my account before October 12. 🪵✨

Dead silence from support while the Oct 12 deadline ticks away How are creators supposed to enter the #invideocontrachallenge if we aren't being given the tools promised in the guidelines? I applied for the Max plan upgrade days ago, submitted my workspace ID, and filled out the support forms. Zero response. Total ghosting. You are dangling an $11K prize pool to get people to join the platform, but leaving participants locked out of the AI editing features needed to actually complete the brief. Time is running out before October 12. Please unlock my workspace ID so I can actually do the work:
