Matrouh Solutions Website Factory I designed and built a multi-tenant website platform that lets agencies create, manage, and publish professional bilingual websites for clients from one control panel. The platform includes a customizable website editor, reusable industry templates, Arabic/English support with RTL layouts, client accounts, media management, custom domains/subdomains, publishing workflows, live previews, dark mode, subscription handling, email notifications, and operational monitoring. My role: Backend & Platform Engineer I built the backend infrastructure and platform architecture for Matrouh Solutions Website Factory, a multi-tenant system for creating, managing, and publishing client websites. My work covered everything behind the frontend: database design, authentication flows, publishing, background workers, domains, media storage, subscriptions, email workflows, monitoring, testing, CI/CD, and deployment readiness. Core technologies TypeScript / Node.js for backend services, workers, shared contracts, and server-side business logic Next.js server actions and API routes for secure backend operations PostgreSQL + Prisma for multi-tenant data modeling and database access pnpm + Turborepo for a modular monorepo architecture Vitest for unit tests and coverage enforcement Docker Compose for isolated local infrastructure GitHub Actions for automated quality checks, builds, tests, coverage, and dependency audits Cloudflare-compatible domain architecture for routing the platform domain and hosted client subdomains/custom domains What I built Multi-tenant organization, client, membership, role, and permissions model Website creation pipeline that initializes localized pages, sections, navigation, theme settings, domains, and audit records transactionally Versioned template discovery and validation pipeline Draft/edit/publish lifecycle with pending updates, publication jobs, retries, worker health, and status reporting Dedicated worker process for long-running publication, subscription, and system tasks Media upload pipeline with file signature validation, processing validation, quota checks, storage cleanup on failure, media references, logos, and favicons Domain and subdomain management, availability checks, ownership validation, and routing support Client portal access, OIDC/SSO integration, invitations, password reset flows, and session handling Subscription records, expiry workflows, and email notifications Audit events, structured logging, operational monitoring, and health/readiness endpoints Reproducible onboarding with documented environment setup, migrations, seeding, and fresh-clone verification I focused on making the platform reliable and maintainable: isolating services into reusable modules, enforcing database transaction boundaries, adding tests for business logic, setting coverage gates, and ensuring the project can install, test, and build consistently from a clean environment.
