TMDB Movie Explorer :
Project title TMDB Movie Explorer : Responsive Movie Discovery Web App Preview description : A responsive movie discovery website built with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and the TMDB API. Project Overview : I built a responsive movie discovery website inspired by modern movie streaming and discovery platforms. The project uses the TMDB API to fetch real movie data and display dynamic search results, movie cards, and detailed movie information. The goal was to practice building a real-world frontend application that works with an external API while keeping the interface clean, responsive, and easy to navigate. What I Built : Dynamic movie search using the TMDB API Movie cards with posters, titles, ratings, and release information Dedicated movie details page Dynamic movie backdrop and detailed information Responsive layout for desktop and mobile screens Navigation with movie and TV show sections Search bar with search functionality Bootstrap-based responsive components Clean and modern movie-focused UI Deployed the project using Vercel Tech Stack : HTML5 · CSS3 · JavaScript · Bootstrap 5 · TMDB API · Vercel What I Learned : This project helped me improve my understanding of working with REST APIs, handling dynamic data with JavaScript, building responsive layouts, and creating multiple pages that work together as a complete web application. I also focused on improving the mobile experience and organizing the project so that the UI remains simple and easy to use across different screen sizes. Cover image for I think Web Development is
I think Web Development is one of the most practical fields in tech because you can turn an idea into something people can actually use and see. What I like most about it is that it combines logic + creativity. HTML gives a website its structure, CSS makes it visually appealing, and JavaScript/TypeScript adds interaction and functionality. Frameworks like Angular then make it possible to build larger, more organized applications. It’s also a field where learning by building matters a lot. You don't have to know everything before starting building projects, breaking things, debugging them, and gradually improving them is a huge part of becoming a developer. For me, the biggest challenge in web development is that technology changes quickly. New frameworks, libraries, tools, and AI-assisted development keep appearing. So instead of trying to memorize everything, I think a good developer should focus on strong fundamentals, problem-solving, and the ability to learn new tools. And honestly, seeing a project go from “just an idea” to a working website is pretty satisfying. 😄
