The Last Red Thread is a mystery thriller by A. B. Danny. The brief was a cover that signals “cold case, film noir” at a glance and meets Amazon KDP’s print requirements. The concept The cover art shows a case-file desk in a single cone of light: five black-and-white photographs linked by one length of red string. I built the typography around that string. “RED” is the only crimson word in the title, a thin red rule echoes the thread under the title, and the rest of the type stays in ivory so the eye lands on the red first.
