I’ve always loved 3D. For a long time, I’ve been fascinated by the depth and creative possibilities that 3D brings to motion design. As someone who works primarily with motion graphics, especially for SaaS and product storytelling, I’ve always wanted to integrate more 3D elements and UI-style animations into my work. I’m heavily inspired by the 3D work coming out of Microsoft’s design team, especially the clean, flow-style motion and 3d MoGraph approach used in many of their product visuals. Most of the time, I tried to push what was possible inside After Effects using subtle camera moves, lighting, and depth to create a sense of dimension. Sometime last year, I started learning Cinema 4D to properly explore 3D motion design. I began with small experiments just to understand the workflow. But like many creatives balancing learning with client work and deadlines, progress slowed down and eventually I paused. Now I’m picking it back up again. 3D is definitely more complex than I initially expected, but the creative possibilities make it worth the effort. This time I’ll be approaching it differently by sharing small experiments and progress along the way. Attached here are some static renders from one of the last experiments I did in Cinema 4D about seven months ago. I’ll be sharing the animated version in the next post. More to come. I’m a motion designer focused on creating clear and engaging motion graphics that help brands explain products, communicate ideas, and tell better stories. If you’re building a product, launching a feature, or need motion graphics that make your message clearer and more engaging, I’d love to collaborate. 📩 Ugofrancel25@gmail.com
