Streamlining ops and elevating your brand's social media.
Designing a brand identity is always a special process, but it’s an absolute honor when it's for a friend you've known for 19 years. This past September, I developed the complete visual identity for Kristina Overton Hair & Makeup.
The goal was to create a mark that felt luxurious, welcoming, and instantly communicative of her artistry. I designed a custom "KO" monogram where the 'K' seamlessly transitions into flowing hair, paired with subtle makeup brush and lipstick motifs. Enclosed in a delicate circular frame with botanical leaf accents and a rose gold palette, the final design reflects the high-end, elegant experience she provides to her clients. Rugged, industrial, and built for the pit. This primary badge logo for a Greensboro-based BBQ concept focuses on a classic vintage aesthetic. I utilized heavy, stylized typography, subtle background layering, and a restrained charcoal and burnt red color palette to give it a true, authentic smokehouse feel. Ready for signage, menus, and apparel. A great brand identity needs to adapt. I designed this circular secondary badge for Black Smoke BBQ Co. to act as the workhorse of the brand. By reformatting the primary typography into a clean, curved layout around the central offset smoker, this mark is perfectly optimized for physical applications like custom rubber stamps, product stickers, sauce bottle lids, and social media profile pictures. It maintains the rugged, authentic Southern BBQ aesthetic while maximizing scalability. This is a template for an upcoming business plan
