Led UX strategy and design direction for McQueens Flowers — a globally recognized premium floral brand — developing a luxury mobile eCommerce app that matched the brand's elevated physical-world presence. Research approach: deliberately avoided floral app benchmarks (all mass-market) and studied luxury fashion and beauty apps instead (Net-a-Porter, SSENSE, Aesop). Built a component system with generous whitespace, constrained typography, and near-zero chrome — letting the product be the visual hero. Designed the customization flow as the primary path through the app, not a secondary option — progressive choice architecture guiding customers through style, color, size, and delivery without feeling like a form. Delivered full UX research report, user flows, component system, and interactive Figma prototypes.

Led UX direction and visual exploration on a pitch to Wataniya — a modern super-app concept reimagining insurance as a daily lifestyle companion, aligned with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 digital transformation agenda. Designed two full theme explorations (conservative brand-led and ambitious lifestyle-first), a modular mobile architecture of 6–8 composable service modules (Policy, Claims, Roadside, Car Services, Notifications, Profile) that Wataniya could scale to new verticals without reshipping navigation, and built accessibility (RTL Arabic-first, contrast, touch targets) as a formal talking point in the pitch — not an afterthought. Delivered interactive Figma prototypes presented remotely to stakeholders in Saudi Arabia.

Co-founded Jambro (2017–2019) — a two-sided marketplace connecting independent musicians with venues, fans, and event organizers across multiple countries. As co-founder and CTO, I led product, design, and engineering from zero to shipped iOS + Android apps. Key decisions: supply-first marketplace strategy (build the artist side first so every new artist has a public profile + bookable link from day one), Android-first parity in 2017 to unlock non-iPhone markets, and the Jambassadors program — a community-driven ambassador network that became our primary growth channel, reaching 100+ artists across Pakistan and international markets. The product was paused due to resource constraints. No longer active, but remains the clearest demonstration of 0→1 product thinking in my career.

Cover image for Led the design of McDonald's
Led the design of McDonald's internal communications platform — a centralized intranet connecting frontline crew, store managers, regional leadership, and corporate teams across one of the world's largest restaurant operations. The challenge: critical operational updates were getting lost in fragmented comms, never reaching frontline staff reliably. The solution required role-based information surfaces (the same platform serving a corporate VP and a crew member on shift), a priority-signaling system (critical / informational / social) so urgent updates were never buried, and a content architecture that let corporate publish once and route automatically to the right stores, roles, and regions. Delivered a complete enterprise intranet design, built for regional rollout with global scalability.

Led end-to-end design of the Parent Companion App for Luminopia — one of the first FDA-authorized AR/VR digital therapeutics, treating amblyopia (lazy eye) in children via Disney content in VR headsets. The parent app is the compliance layer: parents monitor session activity, control content permissions by age, and encourage longer engagement. The existing version had fragmented navigation and poor content discovery — leading to parental disengagement and lower treatment adherence. Redesigned the app with a parent-child ecosystem lens: every screen either informs the parent about the child's session or influences what the child sees next. Simplified navigation to surface the two things parents actually open the app for (today's activity + new content) within one tap. Designed a new age-based permissions system and surfaced content discovery front and center. Delivered working Figma prototypes, rolled into Luminopia's roadmap with partial rollout. Direct client feedback cited the simplified controls and improved UX clarity.

Led the UX strategy and visual direction on a competitive pitch to Etihad Airways — one of the Gulf region's flagship carriers. The brief: consolidate etihad.com (http://etihad.com) and the EtihadGuest loyalty platform into a unified digital ecosystem, with a companion mobile app and AI-integrated self-service layer. Conducted a full heuristic audit across both platforms (surfacing 30–40 prioritized UX gaps), designed conversational commerce touchpoints (AI-driven search, chatbot booking, proactive disruption handling), and created a unified component library to scale across web and mobile from day one. Delivered 4 high-fidelity flows: flight booking, self-service, loyalty (EtihadGuest), and conversational booking. The work positioned the pitch around a design system roadmap — an ongoing partnership, not a one-off redesign.
