Newfound Sense Building better habits has never been easier. Sticking with them has. The market is filled with habit trackers that count streaks, send reminders, and celebrate checklists. They help people record progress, but very few help people understand why lasting change is so difficult in the first place. Newfound Sense wasn’t created to become another productivity app. It was created to help people build a healthier relationship with growth itself. The website needed to communicate that difference.

SouthShore Lacrosse has spent years building something that can’t be measured by wins alone. Since 2007, they’ve developed one of the region’s strongest player development programs, producing more than 220 college commitments while helping athletes grow from their first competitive seasons through the collegiate recruiting process. (SouthShore Lacrose (https://southshorelacrosse.com/home?utm_source=chatgpt.com)) The website needed to reflect that same standard. Not by trying to look bigger. By clearly showing why families continue choosing SouthShore year after year.

Eddie Rocket’s Eddie Rocket’s has been an iconic brand for decades. People know the food. They know the atmosphere. They know exactly how it feels to walk through the doors. The website didn’t capture any of that. Instead of creating excitement, it functioned like a digital brochure—pages of information, inconsistent layouts, and little sense of the energy that has made the brand so recognizable. It answered questions, but it didn’t make you crave a burger or start planning your next visit. The challenge wasn’t creating a new identity. It was bringing an established one to life online.

I'm excited to share my submission for the Contra × Squarespace – Make It Real Challenge. For this project, I created The Void, a concept website for an AI-powered game art studio focused on remastering characters, environments, and worlds for modern hardware. My goal wasn't just to create something visually impressive. It was to prove what's possible when every design decision has a purpose. The entire website was built 100% inside Squarespace using its native tools and the new Finish Layer features, without a single line of custom CSS or JavaScript. Throughout the site, I leaned heavily into: •Responsive Stacks for complex layouts •Block Transforms to create layered, asymmetrical compositions •Scroll, hover, cursor-follow, and appear animations to guide the user through the experience •Purposeful motion that enhances storytelling instead of distracting from it One philosophy drove every decision: Wow with intent. Every animation, transition, and interaction exists to support the content, strengthen the brand, and improve the user experience, not simply because it looks cool. I'm incredibly proud of what can be accomplished using Squarespace's native design tools alone, and I hope this project inspires other designers to explore just how powerful the platform has become. A huge thank you to Squarespace, Contra, and everyone who helped make this challenge possible. 🌐 Live Website: https://thevoidstudioai.com 📹 Full Video Breaking Down How I build the site. https://www.loom.com/share/11d0a6456ea8430680d43d33bc84bfe2 👍 Social Posts: LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/michael-brodzik-295298335_squarespace-finishlayer-contra-ugcPost-7485790929384189952-iurZ/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop&rcm=ACoAAFQ5uJEBpCcinSK3b024gmflIgDR5RmQkdM Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DbHjQpxswei/?igsh=d2szZ3Mxa2l6OXow
