1 out of an 8 graphic series I've made for a media framing project while attending the University of Tulsa. Showcasing harmful racial imagery. The “mammy” is a doll that Katie Smith is holding as a reference to her article conveying how much she loved her mammy. The mammy is not viewed as a person, but more so as a sort of security blanket.
