My Story, My Journey, and Why I Started Estoys Media
I didn’t start writing because I wanted to become a writer.
I started because I was curious.
Curious about why some stories stay with you long after you’ve finished reading them, while others disappear from your mind almost immediately. Curious about why you can watch a 20-minute video without checking the time, but struggle to finish a three-minute one.
The more I wrote, the more I realised something: the difference is rarely the topic. It is the storytelling.
You can have an incredible idea, thousands of dollars in production, beautiful visuals and a great thumbnail. But if the writing doesn’t give people a reason to stay, all of that can easily go to waste.
That realisation changed the way I approached writing.
I stopped looking at a script as just a collection of words. I started looking at it as a journey. Where does the story begin? What makes someone curious? What information should they know now, and what should they discover later? Where should the pace slow down? Where should the story make them think, feel, or want to know more?
Those questions are at the heart of Estoys Media.
Estoys Media is my attempt to build something around the kind of writing I believe in: writing that has a purpose.
We work primarily on YouTube scripts, documentaries, history, horror, listicles, and other forms of digital storytelling.
But I don’t believe a client is paying a writer simply to produce 1,500 or 2,000 words.
They are paying for research they don’t have to do themselves.
They are paying for ideas they may not have considered.
They are paying for structure.
They are paying for the ability to take a pile of information and turn it into something an audience actually wants to sit through.
And most importantly, they are paying for time.
That is something I take seriously.
When I work on a script, I don’t want the viewer to feel like they’re being given information. I want them to feel like they’re being taken somewhere.
If we’re telling a historical story, I want the audience to understand the people behind the dates and events.
If we’re working on horror, I want the tension to build before the scary part arrives.
If we’re writing a documentary, I want every section to earn its place.
And if we’re creating a YouTube video, I want the viewer to have a reason to stay until the end.
That is where research meets storytelling.
Because knowing something isn’t the same as knowing how to tell it.
And that is what Estoys Media is built around.
I am still learning. I’m still writing. I’m still discovering better ways to tell stories.
But after years of writing and working across different kinds of content, I’ve learned one thing that I carry into every project:
People don’t remember information simply because you gave it to them. They remember it because you made them care about it.
That is the kind of writing I want Estoys Media to be known for.
Not writing that sounds impressive.
Not writing that feels unnecessarily complicated.
Just well-researched, thoughtfully structured and genuinely interesting stories.
Because behind every good video is a good idea.
And behind every good idea is a story worth telling.

I’ve also written scripts around history and interesting discoveries. Some of the topics focused on events, people, inventions, and things that happened in the past that most people may not know about.
I like making these kinds of scripts simple and interesting, so the viewer can actually learn something while still enjoying the story.

Previous True Crime Scriptwriting Work
Another area I’ve worked on is true crime storytelling. I’ve written scripts based on real crime cases, turning the available information into a story that is easy to follow and keeps the viewer interested. I focus on the details of the case, the timeline, and how everything unfolds while keeping the storytelling natural.
I enjoy working on this type of content because there’s a lot of research involved, but the script still needs to feel like a story rather than just a collection of facts.

Previous True Crime Scriptwriting Work
This is a 5,000-word crime story I wrote for a YouTube channel. The story was fictional, but I wrote it in a way that made it feel like a real true-crime case, with detailed storytelling and a documentary-style approach.
The goal was to make the story feel believable and keep the viewer interested and glued to the watching.
