Never thought I’d be able to spin up a custom version of an app this fast.
Built this in minutes, and the coolest part was building it with the end user in real time (my girlfriend). She’d suggest something, we’d tweak it immediately, and the app evolved around how we actually handle shared expenses.
Example:
She liked the ability to select which transaction to partially pay
I preferred auto-selecting transactions to keep things simple
So… we added both 🤝
We share most of our bills and rent, and now we’re also using it to:
Keep track of shared spend
Sanity-check ourselves over time
Avoid the back-and-forth of “who owes what?”
It really feels like customizing an app to fit us, instead of adjusting our habits to fit an app.
