This was the first video campaign I worked on in 2017-18, shot in a far away village in a tier-2 city and it took me a total of 14 hours to reach there. Since it was for an early stage startup, there was just two team members handling this video campaign including me, both of us did a crash course on video shooting and video editing and color grading in 1 month and were able to shoot this. It might be rough around the edges but this was the first campaign I was very proud of.

This is a work in progress video I am working on with the agilepoint.com (https://ahilepoint.com) team. Building out the concept of this video was super hard as the product was complicated, but I am happy with the how its progressing.

They say never do what you're good at for free. I made this video for a16z for free anyway. There's a good reason. Last week they published the 7th edition of their Top 100 consumer AI apps. Olivia Moore's chart at the end of it is the most useful thing I've read about consumer AI this year. 15 categories. AI has a dedicated product in the Top 100 in four. Partway in two. Nothing in nine. Streaming, retail, social, travel, finance, jobs, real estate, gaming, dating. Netflix's moat is a licensed catalogue. Amazon's is a warehouse. Tinder's is a pool of real people in one city. Years to accumulate, and a model cannot infer its way to any of them. That chart will be seen by a fraction of the people it was written for. It sits at the bottom of a long report, and charts don't travel. Videos do. So I turned it into 95 seconds you can watch on your phone, with nothing added that isn't in their research. The reason: good research deserves to travel further than the PDF it's published in. This one deserved it more than most. Source: https://a16z.com/100-gen-ai-apps-7/

I had a challenge. The challenge was to explain a logistics product better than its homepage does. No voiceover, no stock footage, no "we streamline your supply chain". The first few versions of this was bad and I threw it away. Finding the reference, drawing the storyboard, deciding the container is red and everything else stays quiet, that was all still a person sitting there deciding. I used higgsfield and Illustrator in conjunction to make this video have a very organic movement. I do agree that AI has changed is the distance between seeing something in your head and watching it move. That used to be a studio, a quote and six weeks, which is where most ideas quietly died.
