Nerva Wellness Studio - a one-page Squarespace template for wellness practitioners
Hi everyone! This is my first time entering a Squarespace community challenge, and I've genuinely loved being part of it - thank you to the Squarespace and Contra team for putting this together, and to everyone sharing their process along the way. It's been inspiring to see.

Nerva Wellness Studio is a one-page website template built for wellness practitioners - nervous system regulation coaches, somatic therapists, and burnout recovery specialists - who want a clean, minimalist online presence without needing to feel like a "tech person" to get there.
The concept: the page itself is designed to mirror nervous system regulation. It opens dense and visually "held" - tighter spacing, darker tones, quicker pacing - and gradually opens up as you scroll: more whitespace, lighter colors, slower and calmer motion, until it fully settles by the final call-to-action. The design is the message.
How Finish Layer was used:
Block transforms in the hero - a layered, slightly offset photo stack that gives the opening section a soft, editorial depth
Animation engine - subtle hover and loop animations (squish, grow, and breathe, etc effects) applied to interactive elements throughout the page, timed to feel gentle rather than flashy - echoing the same "regulation" language as the page's overall pacing
Scroll-triggered reveals that slow in pacing as the page progresses, reinforcing the "settling" concept structurally, not just decoratively
Layers panel - refined section ordering between mobile and desktop so the calming progression holds on both devices
My goal was to make Finish Layer's tools feel approachable for wellness practitioners who want their site to feel calm and human - not "techy" - even though there's real design and animation intention underneath every section, down to the smallest hover interaction.
I'm a Squarespace Circle member, and this challenge reminded me exactly why I love this community.
