I help early-stage startups go from idea to a designed developer-ready product.
Building your first product (or redesigning v1) is a different challenge from designing at scale. You need someone who can move fast, make pragmatic decisions with limited data, and produce work that's good enough to ship without over-engineering. That's what I do.
I've spent 10 years designing products across legal tech, health tech, and ed tech, with a consistent focus on complex workflows that need to feel simple. I handle the full design process: user research, information architecture, interaction design, visual UI, and engineering handoff. I also build and maintain basic design systems so your product stays consistent as you grow.
What sets me apart: I'm not just a designer who hands off static screens. I have working knowledge of React, TailwindCSS and shadcn, and I've shipped production design systems and websites using code when the engineering team was focused on higher-priority work and waiting wasn't an option. I bridge the gap between design and dev, which means fewer misunderstandings and faster implementation.
Deliverables
Deliverable 1: End-to-End Product Design Complete UX and UI design for your product or feature set. Includes user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity Figma designs with all interaction states.
Deliverable 2: Foundational Design System A lightweight, scalable component library in Figma (with token architecture if needed) so your product stays consistent as your team and feature set grow.
Deliverable 3: Engineering-Ready Handoff Organized Figma files with specs, responsive behavior notes, and component documentation. I'm also available for pairing sessions with your developers during build.
My Process
Understand the problem. I dig into your users, your market, and your constraints. For early-stage products, I keep research scrappy and focused: competitor analysis, a few user conversations, and alignment on priorities.
Structure the experience. I define the information architecture and core user flows before touching any UI. This is where most early-stage products go wrong, so I spend real time here.
Design the interface. I design in Figma, working iteratively. You'll see work-in-progress early and often rather than getting a big reveal at the end.
Set you up for scale. Before wrapping up, I make sure your Figma files are organized, your components are reusable, and your engineering team has what they need to build confidently.
Requirements (what I need from you to start)
A clear description of your product and target users
Access to any existing product, research, or competitive context
A point of contact (founder, PM, or lead engineer) for regular check-ins
Timeline and budget range
Pricing: Contact for pricing (typical engagements range $5,000–$10,000 depending on product complexity).
FAQs
I can scope work to fit different budgets. We can focus on the highest-impact screens first and expand from there. I'd rather do fewer things well than rush through everything.
Yes. I stay involved during implementation to answer questions, review builds, and adjust designs as real constraints surface. This is included in my engagement, not an add-on.
Absolutely. I'll audit what you have, identify what's working and what isn't, and propose a phased approach to improving the product without disrupting your existing users.
