About this service

Summary

Do you have an app idea that you're ready to develop? Are you looking for a seasoned designer to help bring your product journey to life?
Well look no further, I have helped design and develop multiple applications across Android & iOS, ranging from streaming services, iOT solutions, energy dashboards, & at home workout creator.

Process

Feature set: the project kicks off with you & I locking down product features, what the product offers, and how it benefits users. All requirements that are locked down during this phase will be translated first into
Interaction diagrams: which is a way to plot out user interactions with the product, such as how they can create an account, reset their password, enter information into the application, what sort of content they will be interacting with. From here we move onto
Wireframes: that help to create layouts, structure, and plot out spacing and content distribution. The wireframes can be converted into simple prototypes which can be used for testing & improvements. The next step is
Hi-fidelity designs: using the wireframes elements such as logos, colors, icons, type systems will be incorporated to reflect the client's branding. This is what the final outlook of the product will be like. Accompanying this will be the component & design system, which can be used to create more elements of the product acting as sort of like "building blocks". Once everything is to client satisfaction, the last step is the
Design handover: in which I hand over the Figma file, alongside any notes that may be relevant to the design. I'm also happy to provide a Loom recording and/or Google Doc outlining how to use the file and where everything is

FAQs

  • How long will the process take?

The design process largely depends on the product complexity, the more complex the product is the more time will be required to design it.

  • What if I have a new requirement mid project?

In the case of a new requirement I will gauge what impact it will have on the process. If the addition of a feature is a minor it can be easily undertaken, but if the feature or feature set(s) are very complex, I will first focus on the requirements that are locked down and we can address how to include more features in.

  • The assets used in the file where will they becoming from?

I use pexels.com for free to use images and video. I also use vector assets from Freepik. For icons I use the Iconify (Figma plugin), bootstrap icon kit, and I can draw icons too if required. I can include links for all the assets in use, so you can source the image licensing with ease.

What's included

  • 🧩 Figma file

A Figma file containing all aspects of the application design from interaction diagrams, wireframes, hi-fidelity designs, and simple prototypes.

  • 🧩 Interaction diagram(s)

Interaction diagrams help to plot out processes and interactions. Any relevant diagrams related to the project will be part of the Figma handover.

  • 🧩 Wireframes

Wireframes help to create layouts and structure which form the foundation of the hi-fidelity designs.

  • 🧩 Hi-fidelity designs

Hi-fidelity designs will contain the final appearance of the application reflective of the client's branding requirements.

  • 🧩 Design system

The design system is the basic building block for the interface design & the hi-fidelity design. All components, and elements of the design system will be present on the Figma file.

  • 🧩 Loom or Google Doc

At the end of the project I can create a Loom recording or Google Doc going over the file to show where the different elements are present, their use cases, and a breakdown of the design system
