My main design tool is Figma. If you'd like your final designs or assets to be sent in a different format (e.g. Zeplin, zip, cloud link), that surely can be arranged.
Throughout the duration of the project, we'll communicate via whichever tool is most convenient for you. This can be Discord, Zoom, email or phone.
To keep track of the project process and jobs to be done, we will be using Jira.
Process
1. Discovery and Strategy
Client Meeting: I kick off with a chat to understand your vision, goals, target audience, and what you want from your web app.
Market Research: I dig into industry trends, check out competitor products, and get to know your audience's preferences.
Strategy Development: I outline the product strategy, create user personas, map out user journeys, and define the core value of your web app.
2. Ideation
Content Audit: If I'm revamping an existing product, I'll review the current content to decide what to keep, modify, or discard.
User Flows/Information Architecture (IA): I develop the IA to organize content and features in a user-friendly way.
Wireframing: I create simple wireframes to map out the basic structure of your web app, focusing on layout and user experience without the visual design.
3. Design
Mood Boards: I craft mood boards to set the visual direction, including colors, typography, and UI elements.
High-Fidelity Mockups: I design detailed mockups for key pages, incorporating your visual identity and UI details.
Responsive Design: I ensure designs are responsive, adapting to various screen sizes with a mobile-first approach.
4. Prototyping and User Testing
Interactive Prototypes: I build clickable prototypes to simulate the user interface and interactions.
User Testing: I test these prototypes with users to gather feedback on usability, looks, and overall experience. We refine the design based on their input.
Iteration: I continuously improve the design with feedback from users and stakeholders to meet user needs and business goals.
5. UI Development Guidelines and Handoff
Style Guide: I create a detailed UI style guide covering colors, typography, grid systems, and UI components.
Design Specs: I provide thorough design specifications for developers, including breakpoints, animations, and interaction details.
Asset Preparation: I prepare and organize all design assets for development, making sure they're optimized for the web.
