FAQs
Do you offer payment plans?
Most projects are divided into two payments: a 50% deposit and 50% final payment - for flat fee projects, Contra will ask you (the client) the full payment and only release the 50% deposit to be released to me immediately and the other 50% is on hold until the project is complete.
How long does it take to complete a project?
Our service turnaround times may vary depending on the project. For a general timeline, our logo design process typically takes between 1-2 weeks, while our brand identity projects can vary from 3-5 weeks. Lastly, our website projects can take anywhere from 3-4 weeks. *Please note that the timeline for your project may vary based on its unique requirements and the speed of communication in which feedback is received.
How will we communicate?
We’ll start off with Google Meet video meetings to discuss your project and present the first round of concepts. For shorter communications, we’ll use email or I’ll send you a short recorded video. We understand that if you are not too fond of meeting via video chat, we can do a call over the phone or communicate via email. We're comfortable with whatever!
We don't live in the same city. Can we still work together?
Yes. 99% of our clients are not local, so we manage projects long distance using live and pre-recorded video. (We love Loom)
Do you do copywriting?
No, but I can do what I can with the help of AI tools. I highly recommend hiring a copywriter for heavy copywork (there are tons of great copywriters here on Contra!)
If I have my logo designed by someone else, can you help with other designs?
Yes! Our past client Earna had their logos designed by someone else but approached us to expand on their brand.
What's included
Discovery Consultation
An important first step to our project! Let's have a quick chat so we can meet each other and learn about each other a bit more. We'll nail down your goals, how to achieve said goals, and your brand strategy.
Brand Strategy Workshop
Join us for a 3-hour virtual brand strategy workshop where we'll uncover the true essence, personality, and purpose of your brand. This workshop will help you understand why your brand exists and how it can make a positive impact! Our clients have gained clarity and a better understanding of their brand identity after this workshop. It's a great opportunity to share all your thoughts and ideas, and we'll provide you with a summary after the workshop of our unbiased thoughts.
Mood Boards
Mood boards allow us to visually communicate ideas and concepts in a creative way. We explore and present different design directions and create a visual reference of the ideas.
Logo Variations
We will provide several logo variations for your brand, including a primary logo, a secondary logo, and an iconmark logo. The number of variations may vary depending on your project. If you require more than three variations, just let us know!
Typography Pairing
Typography pairing should not be random; it's strategically selected to match your brand visuals. This will involve choosing a pair of two typefaces. Please note that these are suggestions, not requirements. As the client, you are responsible for purchasing fonts. However, we always try to find free commercial fonts first.
Color Palette
The whole feel, aesthetic, and mood of your brand can easily be represented by colors alone. A curated color palette that exudes your brand will be created for you! Typically, we curate between 3-5 colors, but no more than 7.
Custom Icons
Custom brand icons are unique and original graphic elements designed specifically to represent a brand or company.
Business Stationery Design(s)
Having a killer business card design can help your brand stand out from the crowd and be remembered long after you've parted ways with someone. Not to mention a letterhead, envelopes, and any other brand stationery you need, we've got you covered.
Canva Social Media Post Templates
Social media templates can be useful for a brand because they provide a consistent and professional look and feel across all social media platforms, saving time and effort in creating new content. They also allow for easy customization and branding, ensuring that the brand's message is clear and cohesive.
3 Revisions
I aim for one and done, but we all know that it can't always be like that.
Brand Guidelines (or Style Guide)
A brand style guide is a document that outlines the guidelines and specifications for a brand's visual identity, including its logo, typography, color palette, and other design elements. It serves as a reference for anyone creating branded materials, ensuring consistency and coherence across all marketing and communication channels.
Supporting Graphics
This can be anything as simple as the lines you put under words to emphasize something in your call to action to random little doodles to be added to your pattern.
Logo Animation
Logo animation adds movement to your brand’s logo. It takes the traditional logo design and transforms it into a living, breathing entity that can do so much more than just sit statically on a webpage or business card.
Brand Pattern(s)
A brand pattern can be essential to a business because it helps reinforce brand recognition and identity across all touchpoints. By incorporating a unique and recognizable pattern into branding materials, businesses can create a strong visual connection with their audience and differentiate themselves from competitors.
Brand Imagery
It is necessary to set guidelines for using images for your brand. This helps to ensure a consistent and unique look and feel. We would curate a library that serves as a reference for the kinds of images to use.
Brand Applications
Your brand identity extends to merchandise, packaging, and other physical products, showcasing the visual and thematic elements for a consistent and recognizable brand presence.
