Is a project brief required to kick-off the project?
A brief is surely welcome, bot not necessary! We all know that projects might be at various stages when design joins the table. So whatever the starting point, there's nothing to worry.
How does communication go?
I generally use Slack, Discord, Telegram and Signal for more frequent communication. Figma comments are another good way to discuss design feedback. For review calls we can schedule GoogleMeet/Zoom/Teams call for sure.
What about the changes coming out of feedback?
Because the feedback is the essence of building something great, the number of revisions are not limited. However, for flat fee collaborations, I provide up to 3 revisions for any given functionality/feature/journey.

To make sure the outcome is relevant to the spectrum of expectations of the market and achieves your business goals.
Product Design
End-to-end design of the application (web/mobile) with the user in mind. Will break down the main journeys and prioritize accordingly. All UI flows are accompanied with relevant notes to better communicate the intended behaviors.
Style guide
A thorough breakdown of typography, colors, iconography and the UI components used. Spacing measurements of UI components to help with development.
