The Start: Getting to Know You and The Project

The process starts with a simple line of communication to see what you're looking for, preferably over a video/phone call or email. We'll feel each other out to see if we are the best fit for what you're looking for. We'll go over what information is included for the presentation, timelines, audience and budget.

After our meeting, I'll request a sample of your book. Don't worry if you're still writing it! A proof of concept also works great.

From there, we'll agree on a contract, I'll send you a booklet with more in-depth steps to the design process, and a deposit invoice will be sent.

The Work: Creation & Revisions

I'll use the information from our meeting to create a few different styles of book covers for you to choose from. During this time, we'll communicate on what you are and are not liking and making adjustments throughout the creative process.

Getting Ready to Present: Receiving Your Deliverables

Once the cover is polished to perfection, I'll send you all of your deliverables and a final payment is due. From there, you'll have a cover for your book!

FAQs

What genre of books will you design for?
Almost anything! I've designed a wide range of covers, from medical textbooks to poetry to children's books. I will not, however, design any covers that include NSFW themes or smut. That being said, I will design romance covers.
What is included in your book cover design service?
I provide a custom, high-quality book cover design for print and/or digital formats, including front cover, back cover, and spine (if applicable). I also ensure the design is optimized for publishing platforms like Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, Wattpad or custom printers.
What information do you need to get started?
To begin, I’ll need: - Your book title, subtitle, and author name for front cover - What text you'd like on the back cover, such as a book synopsis or reviews. - A brief synopsis or key themes. I'd prefer a sample of your work to read to best match tones. - Your genre and target audience - Any design preferences or inspiration - Your publishing platform’s cover dimensions & specs. If you're unsure, that's ok! We can work together to figure out where you'd like to publish.
How long does the design process take?
Typically, a custom cover takes 1-2 weeks, depending on complexity and revisions.
Can you create both eBook and print covers?
Yes! I design for eBooks, print books, and audiobooks, ensuring all files meet publishing standards.
How many revisions do I get?
I offer a set number of revisions (usually 2-3 rounds) to ensure your cover meets your vision. Additional revisions may be available based on need.

What's included

Printable Book Cover
A full and complete book cover PDF or any file as required to publish your book. This includes perfectly sized book covers for both e-books and printing, including KDP.
Book Cover Mockup Image
You'll receive some mockup product images showing how your book will look printed. These images will be able to be posted on your socials to announce your book as desired.
