About this service

Summary

Bring Your Product to Life with Professional 3D Renderings

For your website, marketing materials, e-commerce store, or other internal company use, I can create photorealistic 3D product renders in the popular studio style. I'll collaborate with you to make sure the renderings accurately represent your product while also meeting your specific requirements. If you want to learn more about my 3D product renders, please contact me right away.

What is a Studio-Style Render?

A studio-style render is a type of 3D product rendering that is typically used to showcase a product against a plain, white background. This type of rendering is often used for e-commerce websites and product catalogs, as it allows the product to be the star of the show and avoids distracting from the product's features.

Things I'll need from you before we start:

3D CAD File(s): 3D model(s) of your product(s) in one of the formats listed below:

STEP (preferred), FBX, OBJ, IGES, or Parasolid. In most cases, I can work with any file you have, but if that is not the case, we can try to find a solution together.

Decal Artwork: If your product has any decals, please send them to me in either PDF, PNG, or Adobe Illustrator format (.ai).

Company Logo: Your company logo should be sent over to me in either PDF, PNG, or Adobe Illustrator format (.ai).

Product Colorways and Color Codes list If your product is available in multiple colorways or is made up of multiple colors, I will need a list of the color names and corresponding color codes (i.e. Pantone, FED-STD-595, RAL Colours, etc.).

The Process & Estimated TimeLine

Depending on the scope of work, the process will go as follows:

Phase 1 ( Week 1–2)

Kick-Off Meeting

• To clarify elements that may be unclear & gather any relevant

additional info.

• To propose new takes & directions to consider.

• To discuss responsibilities.

Research I will conduct any research required for your project.

Phase 2 ( Week 3 )

3D CAD Model Review: I will review the 3D CAD model(s) you provided for any notable imperfections before putting them to use. Should I identify any, I'll notify you and request corrected versions that are free from errors. This task applies only if you have provided me with a 3D CAD model.

3D CAD Model Prep: Mechanical engineers may decide not to include a particular accessory that comes with a product (such as a lanyard, shoulder strap, carabiner, etc.) in the 3D file. If this applies to your product, I can build a 3D model of it if required.

3D Model Creation If you don't have a 3D CAD model and your product isn't too complicated, I can make one for you. This task is only applicable if you do not have a 3D CAD model.

Texturing I will texture the 3D model(s) with realistic textures and colors that match the standard colorway of the product. If you require multiple colorways for your product(s), please let me know so I can factor that into the timeline and total project investment.

3D Model Review We'll go over the 3D models and discuss any changes that need to be made.

3D Model/Texturing Revisions I'll work on any necessary revisions based on your feedback.

Phase 3 ( Week 4 - 5 )

Scene Development When the 3D models and textures are ready, I'll

open my 3D programs and begin building out the scene. Focusing on the

textures, materials, lighting, and camera views of each product.

Colorway Renders If requested, I'll create the various colorway renders for each

product.

Test Stills I'll create test stills for you to review and approve. This will

ensure that we are both on the same page in terms of how each product

appears and progresses.

Test Still Revisions I'll work on any necessary revisions based on your

feedback.

Phase 4 ( Week 6 )

Final High-Resolution Renders Once the test stills have been approved,

I'll go ahead and render out the high-resolution versions in PSD format.

Revisions for Final Renders I'll work on any necessary revisions based on your feedback.

For Web Export I will export the necessary image formats for web.

Final Deliverables All final deliverables will be sent to you via download

link.

Revisions Disclaimer I'll give you one revision for minor tweaks and changes per phase. These could include post-production tone and color adjustments, as well as updating any decals or company logos on the final renders. Don't worry, I've got your back! After certain phases have been approved, changing the 3D model, materials, lighting, environment, textures, and so on is considered a major change. Please keep in mind that this may cause the agreed-upon timeline to be extended, and I'll discuss any additional charges based on my hourly rate for implementing these significant changes.
