I help product teams make better decisions by grounding them in what users actually need.
I run research that's practical and actionable, not academic. Whether you need to understand a new user segment, validate a product direction, or diagnose why a feature isn't landing, I design and run the research, then translate findings into clear recommendations your team can act on.
My research experience spans B2B and B2C products in legal tech, health tech, and ed tech. I've conducted persona research across corporate verticals, led cross-team research initiatives on user behavior patterns, and presented findings to product leadership. I'm comfortable with both qualitative methods (user interviews, usability testing, contextual inquiry) and lightweight quantitative approaches (survey design, behavioral data analysis).
What you get from me isn't a 50-page report that sits in a drawer. It's a focused synthesis with prioritized, specific recommendations tied to your product roadmap.
Deliverables
Deliverable 1: Research Plan A scoped plan covering research questions, methodology, participant criteria, and timeline. We align on this before any research begins.
Deliverable 2: Research Synthesis A clear, visual summary of findings. Includes key insights, user quotes, behavioral patterns, and opportunity areas. Formatted as a presentation deck or document, depending on your preference.
Deliverable 3: Actionable Recommendations Prioritized design and product recommendations tied directly to research findings. Each recommendation includes rationale, expected impact, and suggested next steps.
My Process
Scope the questions. I work with you to define what you need to learn and why. Good research starts with good questions, so I push back if the brief is too broad or too vague.
Plan and recruit. I design the study, write discussion guides or test scripts, and help with participant recruitment (or work with your existing panels).
Run the research. I conduct interviews, usability tests, or other methods. I share early observations along the way so you're never surprised by the final findings.
Synthesize and recommend. I distill everything into a clear narrative with specific, actionable recommendations. I present findings to your team and make sure the insights actually connect to decisions.
Requirements (what I need from you to start)
A description of what you're trying to learn or decide
Access to your product (or prototype)
Help with participant access (or budget for external recruitment)
A stakeholder who will act on the findings
Pricing: Contact for pricing (typical projects range $4,000–$8,000 depending on scope and number of participants).
FAQs
For qualitative research, 5-8 participants per segment is usually enough to surface clear patterns. For usability testing, 5 participants catches about 85% of major issues. I'll recommend the right number based on your specific goals.
Yes. I'm flexible on recruitment. I can work with your existing contacts, recruit through your product, or source participants independently if needed.
That's common, and it's fine. I can run a discovery phase to help you figure out what you don't know. Sometimes the most valuable research output is a better-framed problem.
