About this service
Summary
My aim here is to help you transform a concept or existing design into a fully immersive 3D space either for 2D rendering or use in a game environment or perhaps for virtual reality.
A long time ago, my undergraduate degree was in Interior Architecture although my career took me other directions. However, I have never lost my love of bringing spaces to life and I have had the opportunity over the years to work on a number of such projects. I would very much like the opportunity to get back to this kind of challenge.
Having a a broad knowledge of user experience design, I love applying these principles into spatial planning and organisation if given the opportunity.
I'm able to read technical drawing and am familiar with various CAD packages such as Autodesk Inventor and Revit.
It is important to discuss the project before any work begins to ensure that the brief is understood and avoid miscommunications.
Process
Each project varies in some way, as do the requirements and expectations of clients. However, there are key standard steps that generally help to drive things forward.
Discussion and briefing of the project, objectives and expected outcomes.
Collate, review and discuss any submitted references and assets given by the client.
Research additional background information such as context and use. This helps in establish important aspects such as scale, materials. This can also lead to additional resources that may be useful.
Creation of whitebox models (drafts/prototype) for review. eg. addressing form, scale, and discussion of details.
Addressing any alterations and updates.
Final model(s) and review
UVmapping, materials and texturing
Lighting and rendering (if necessary)
Exporting any required files prior to delivery
Preparing and finalising any documentation supporting the project prior to delivery.
What's included
3D Asset Files - .zip
- All assets created can be PBR ready for use in game engines such as Unity, Unreal Engine, etc if needed. - Assets created are delivered in Zip format with related assets such as textures and alternate mesh exports (.fbx, .obj, .glb) - Textures can also be embedded if requested.
3D Asset Files - Unity Package (if required)
Assets created will be bundled inside of a unity package file complete with dependent files such as textures.
3D Renders
Photorealistic renders will be generated as required. The number and particular views/angles can be determined upon discussion.
