About this service

Summary

Even in the year 2024, there’s a lot about fonts that can’t be answered by a simple search, a tutorial video, or asking a friend. Sometimes you need an expert who has a trained eye, knows the industry, and has been dealing with the fonts and typeface design industry for a decade +. That’s me!

Ask me all your questions (who to hire and why? why is this not looking right? how to make it look more professional/serious/fun?), receive professional help, and get a look inside the industry, and maybe an anecdote or two, all for a flat fee of $120.

I have been working as a typographer and crafting typefaces and custom logotypes start-to-finish for more than 10 years and have worked with clients ranging from tech giants like Apple and Google, to nonprofits and small one-person startups — I know how this works.

What's included

  • Consultation on Fonts, Logotypes, and Typography

60-minutes-long, one-on-one conversation about any issues, roadblocks, and lingering questions you may have about fonts, typography, and logotypes. The consult will be held online or in-person in New York City. I’ll be open to a follow-up question to make sure your concerns were addressed, and you’ll have access to heavily discounted follow-up consultations. This is also a great start if you want to commission me, but would like to chat about your project first to make sure I'm the right fit.

  • Get All the (Or a Lot of) Answers

Did you just set up a start-up company and need a recommendation about which fonts you can use on your site and how to pick them? Your logo is not reading well, and you are wondering about how to make it more clear? Are you considering hiring a professional letterer or calligrapher for your wedding invitations, but not sure who to hire and how? Want to print your company address on a napkin but it comes out illegible? Self-publishing a book and wondering where to even start with an important decision on font selection? Or perhaps, you yourself are interested in learning more about fonts, and want to level up your game to learn about history and technology behind creating typefaces? …And more questions and issues!
