Process

Design Thinking Process:
I use Design thinking as a problem-solving approach which prioritizes empathy for users, creativity in generating solutions, and practicality in implementation. It typically involves five stages:
1. Empathize: This stage involves understanding the needs and perspectives of the people I'm designing for. It often includes interviews, observations, competitor analyses, and user research to gain insights into their experiences and challenges.
2. Define: In this stage, I synthesize the information gathered during the empathy phase to define the problem statement or opportunity i am addressing. This involves framing the problem in a way that guides the rest of the design process.
3. Ideate: Here, I generate a wide range of creative ideas to solve the problem identified in the define stage. This is a brainstorming phase where quantity is encouraged over quality, and wild ideas are welcomed. Techniques like brainstorming, mind mapping, and sketching will be used.
4. Prototype: In this stage, I begin to create tangible representations of my ideas. Prototypes can take many forms, from rough sketches and paper mock-ups to digital simulations or physical models. The goal is to quickly and cheaply test different concepts to see what works and what doesn't.
5. Test: The final stage involves gathering feedback on my prototypes from actual users. This feedback is used to refine and iterate on my designs, making improvements based on real-world insights. The testing phase is often iterative, with multiple rounds of testing and refinement until i arrive at a solution that effectively addresses the problem.
Throughout the design thinking process, iteration is key, and the focus is on continuous learning and improvement.
