Outcome

One repetitive workflow stops eating your team's week. A request comes in, the automation does the routine part, a person approves anything that matters, and every run is logged.

What's included (AI Workflow Pilot, $750)

One narrow workflow: one trigger and one output, agreed in writing before I start
Up to two straightforward connections to tools with documented APIs (I confirm feasibility during scoping)
One AI step: sorting, extracting, drafting or routing, on your model-provider account
Basic logging of every run
A human approval step before any action we agree is consequential
A test run on an agreed set of up to 20 of your past cases, with the results
Short install and operating notes
One handover session (up to 45 minutes)
14 days after acceptance to fix anything that fails the agreed criteria

Not included

Complex authentication or enterprise identity (SSO), multi-agent orchestration, extensive custom API work, large data migrations, highly regulated workflows, unlimited revisions, ongoing operation after the fix window, and model, API or SaaS fees. Those fees are paid by you, directly to the provider, on your own accounts.

Delivery estimate

7 working days from kickoff. Kickoff is when I have access to both tools, your example cases and a confirmed scope.

What I need from you

A workflow you want automated, and someone who knows it well for a one-hour scoping call
Test or scoped access to the two tools, created by you
10 to 20 past cases, with personal data removed or approved for use
Your own model-provider account, or a self-hosted model already running

Revisions

Anything needed to meet the agreed acceptance criteria is fixed at no charge. A change to the workflow, its tools or its output is a change request: I quote it in writing before doing it.

Done when

The agreed workflow runs end to end in your environment
You've seen it run: trigger, AI step, approval and output
You have the test results on the agreed cases, including the misses. I don't claim it will be right every time; the results show how often it was right on your cases.
You have the operating notes and we've held the handover session

If it's bigger or more complicated

I tell you before you pay. A third tool with a documented API is the extra integration add-on ($300). Branching, retries, failure alerts or up to four tools is Automation Implementation (from $1,500). A tool without a documented API or complex auth gets a written quote, and highly regulated workflows (clinical, legal advice, credit decisions) aren't part of this package. If something unexpected turns up after kickoff, I stop and quote the change in writing. The price changes only if you accept it.

Larger packages

Automation Implementation: from $1,500. Branching, retries, failure alerts, up to four integrations, a test set of up to 40 cases.
AI Agent System: from $2,500. One tool-using agent with guardrails, retrieval where needed and a rerunnable evaluation set.
Multi-Agent Engineering: from $5,000. Two to four agents with defined roles, hand-offs, approvals and a regression suite.
Managed Automation: from $500/month. I run checks, handle exceptions, tune prompts and report monthly.

Add-ons

Extra integration (documented API) $300 · Extra workflow on the same tools $575 · Extended testing $250 · Extra handover session $125 · Priority delivery +30% (when my calendar allows)

Example projects

AI Agent Mission Control (Concept: an interface for two orchestration specs I wrote; no code behind it yet; illustrative data)
Agent Evaluation & Benchmarking Dashboard (Concept: evaluation views for my agent harness; data illustrative except real engine-worker evidence)
AI Agent Run Debugger (Prototype: new screens for my public Python runtime, which has 525 passing tests; runs shown are illustrative)

Next step

Message me on Contra with the workflow in two or three sentences: what starts it, which tools it touches and what the result should be. I'll reply within two working days with whether it fits the $750 pilot or a larger package.
Cover: an illustrative interface I designed for this service, not client work. Status: Concept. The screen shows Tollbook, an invoice agent for Kestrel Freight (demo). It reads a supplier invoice, matches it to a purchase order, checks the totals and stops for one approver because the invoice is over a $5,000 limit. Every company, person, amount and rule on it is invented. No inbox connection, invoice reading or ledger posting exists yet. That is what this package builds for your workflow.
