📝 Design Audit (if needed)
If you have an existing product or suite of products and need a new or updated design system as a single source or truth, or you are looking to implement a refreshed look for your products, I will perform an audit of your existing digital assets and create a roadmap for moving your design system forward.
🎨 Component Library & Documentation
A comprehensive, scalable and dev-ready design library of reusable styles and components including text, colors, effects, buttons, fields, menus, and more. Library will includes documentation with usage guidelines and annotations for developers.
🪙 Token-based Based System
The design library will be created using a token-based structure. This will enable the system to be theme-able (as needed) with easy mode switching (eg. light and dark modes). All color names will be mapped to their specific role in the product. Tokens can also be created for padding, sizing and border radii as needed.
♿️ Accessibility Compliance
Accessible products start at the system level. I will ensure that all components meet industry standards for accessibility compliance. Considerations include color contrast, screen reader compatibility and keyboard navigation. If your target audience needs additional accommodations, those will also be accounted for.
🚀 Engineering Collaboration
I will work with your development team to ensure accurate implementation of the design system and its styles and components. This will include detailed usage guidelines and documentation, and may also include video calls to address questions or modifications to components based on specific use cases as needed.
🗺️ Design Roadmap
In addition to system design, I can tackle your design ops to create a roadmap for and direct design implementation that prioritizes the intersection of developer timelines, design capacity, and product budget.
