My overall editing process is very flexible. I am willing to make simple suggestions or I can completely restructure the format of a writing sample. I am here to edit your work however you need me to. No matter how many changes I might suggest or make, I will always be thorough. I am an avid supporter of re-reading, triple-checking, and giving content one more glance over before I am fully satisfied.

As a publishing/editing major, I gained extensive knowledge about editing others' written work. I've worked with various genres and forms and understand each one's purpose and importance. I have a strong understanding of the English language, and I have a keen eye for identifying errors within text. Through the publishing/editing program at Susquehanna, I have also learned about the publishing industry, including the various types of publishing houses and the variety of roles within each one. I have gained hands-on experience collaborating with other students to create publications at Susquehanna. During these courses, I edited students' written work and honed my skills as a copyeditor.

I applied my skills in a more professional setting through my internship at Granite United Way in Manchester, NH. I edited various documents, from annual reports to newsletter articles. I also exercised my knowledge of programs like Microsoft Word and Adobe InDesign as I drafted letters and edited documents. By the end of the internship, I had physical examples of the work I had done at Granite United Way, and working at a non-profit organization gave me so much fulfillment.
