Process

Step 1: Kickoff / Introductions
This is where it all begins - we dive into your creative journey, you share your work, and I learn what makes it unique. First, I'll guide you through preparing and organizing your projects for a seamless production process.
The goal is to understand your portfolio's strengths and get your assets ready for animation. We'll identify your standout projects and ensure we have everything needed to bring them to life - from source files to final mockups.
For a smooth start, we need to figure out things like:
Which 8-12 projects best represent your creative direction?
Do you have access to the original project files?
For mockups: do you have layered files or will we need to rebuild elements?
Which project details should we emphasize in motion?
Do you have an idea about which soundtrack you’d want to use?
What are some examples of other showreels you really like?
Step 2 - Storyboard Outline
Now the fun begins! I'll create a visual storyboard that maps out how your projects will flow together. Think of it as a blueprint for your showreel - rough sketches showing transitions, movements, and timing that will bring your work to life.
The goal is to establish a clear visual direction and rhythm before diving into animation. We'll plan how each project transitions into the next, creating those satisfying moments that make viewers want to watch again.
The storyboard typically includes :
Project sequence with timing breakdowns
Transition concepts and flow directions
Key moments and emphasis points
Motion style suggestions
Music beat mapping
Notes on pace and energy shifts
After reviewing the storyboard together, we'll refine the flow until we have a solid game plan that excites us both. This step saves time in the long run and ensures we're aligned on the vision before any animation begins.
Step 3 - Revisions, revisions, revisions
This is where your showreel starts coming to life. Once we've locked in the storyboard direction, I'll create a first draft with rough timings and basic transitions. Through two rounds of focused revisions, we'll polish the flow until every moment feels just right.
The process is structured to make the most of our revision time:

Final tweaks
Two rounds of revisions are included to ensure we achieve your vision while maintaining project momentum. Additional revision rounds can be arranged at an hourly rate if needed.
Step 4 - Wrap it all Up
This is where everything comes together into the polished final piece.
With the major decisions locked in, I'll focus on adding those final touches that make your showreel truly shine. Think of it as the polish that turns a good showreel into a great one. The goal here is to perfect every detail - from the smoothness of each transition to the precise timing of every moment. No pixel left behind, no frame out of place.
By this stage, we're not making big changes, but rather perfecting what we've built together. It's all about those small refinements that make a huge difference in the final impact of your showreel.
Step 5 - Launch
The moment has arrived! Your work is now a stunning motion piece ready to capture attention and open new doors. I'll deliver your showreel in all the formats you need - perfectly optimized for every platform where your ideal clients will see it.
The goal here is to make sure you can start sharing your new showreel right away. You'll receive everything ready to upload and make an impact, from a high-quality master file to platform-specific versions that look amazing everywhere.
No technical headaches, no format confusion - just your work, beautifully animated and ready to show the world what you can do.

What's included

  • Full Showreel (30 seconds)

    At the end of the project you'll receive your full 30 second showreel in a final, polished, high-resolution master file (1920x1080).

  • Social Media Versions

    In addition to the Full Showreel, you'll get versions for social media, also 30 second in length: Square (1:1) for Instagram and Vertical (9:16) for Stories/TikTok/Reels.

  • Preview Assets

    Finally, you'll receive cover/thumbnail images for video platforms.
