Process

💡 A quick overview of how we get from your amazing idea to end-product:
1 | Discovery We will sit down and work through your initial ideas, vision and goals for this project. This is the fun part where we go over everything to help make your ambitions become actuality. Designs, colours, inspiration... everything is put on the table as we hone in on the best approach for your brand.
We'll also cover the best ways to work together and spend some time getting to know one another - key parts of any successful partnership! 2 | Research & Development After collating all the helpful information you've provided, I will conduct additional research on your brand identity deliverables, which will inform the end product.
After which I will refine all creative aspects (including the brand assets and design system), ready for your feedback in the next step.
3 | Feedback & Revisions I'll share the initial version of the brand assets with you and am keen to get your feedback, comments and suggestions. What works, what doesn't, what you love and any other improvements you'd like to see.
I'll then incorporate those changes by way of refinement and present them for further review, repeating the process in a series of revisions as required.
4 | Delivery In this last (and most exciting) phase, your brand assets and guidelines will be sent over to you - everything you need to take your brand to the next level!

  • What experience do you have in brand identity and expression?

    Over my 12+ year career I have designed, refreshed and extended brand identities for clients of varying sizes across multiple industries. This includes a mid-sized IT service provider, a leading SaaS provider ($500m), e-commerce stores, media personalities and more. Outside of my freelance work I have also built a dedicated strategic design studio which includes brand design as part of the creative services on offer.

  • What is included in this service?

The short version is: (1) an amazing brand identity kit & guidelines (2) heaps of handy documentation (3) a collaborative partner who is eager to help you realise your vision!

  • Do you use templates or AI?

    Nope! All designs are 100% original and human-made. You can be assured that your website will stand out from the pack of cookie-cutter and drag-and-drop, machine-outsourced designs that have gunked up the market.

  • Consultation & Discovery

    Let's jump on a call so we can get to know one another and jam on ideas for your brand. We'll work through your vision, goals and brand strategy, and how we can turn your ambitions into actuality.

  • Logos

    Brand identity is much more than just a logo, but it's still an essential piece of the puzzle. Importantly, your logo needs to be compatible when viewed in many different visual contexts, without every looking out of place. That's why you'll receive: * a primary logo design * variant logo designs (inverse, black & white, colour variations) * a secondary/submark logo design (simplified, icon or initial-based logo)

  • Typography Pairing

    Your words are powerful, but only if someone can read them! We'll match together 2-3 striking yet complimentary (and easily readable) typefaces that can be applied to various contexts whilst still feeling distinctively on-brand.

  • Colour Palette

    The right colour combination can turn heads, evoke emotion and instantly identify your brand. We'll curate a palette of several colours that will help foster brand recognition and carry your consumer messaging goals by extension. All palettes are designed to meet accessibility standards (WCAG, W3C-APA).

  • Social Media Templates

    Carry your new brand identity across to social media with a series of included social media templates. These can be used to convey a consistent and professional visual identity.

  • Tone of Voice (Verbal Identity)

    Visuals are great for capturing attention, but you'll also want to place emphasis on a strong verbal identity, bringing an unmistakable voice to your brand and driving growth. Tone of voice guidelines are a must-have to ensure your non-visual communication remains consistent and authentic. Get your team writing with one voice and make your brand be heard, loud and clear.

  • Additional Brand Components

    These are the visual assets that don't quite fit into any of the other buckets, the glue that fits between type, colour, logos and other brand characteristics. This can include patterns, iconography and other basic elements to be used in your branding as additional expressions of your brand.

  • 3x Revisions

    Our strike rate is pretty good, yet always open to comments, feedback and suggestions on ways to improve on designs. Let's iterate and incorporate your feedback until things are right.

  • Client Portal

    Along the way you will receive access to a dedicated client portal where you can follow the entire process, provide feedback and access your brand assets & deliverables.

  • Style Guide & Brand Kit

    Your personal brand kit awaits! All of these deliverables will be packaged up and sent to you as digital files, along with a handy style guide that will walk you through how and when to use them. You'll be a brand master in no time!
