Process

1. Discovery & Strategy
Understand Business Goals: Conduct a kickoff meeting to align with stakeholders on objectives, KPIs, and user needs.
User Research: Perform interviews, surveys, or analyze existing data to understand the target audience.
Competitive Analysis: Evaluate competitors to identify opportunities and best practices.
Define Personas & User Journeys: Create user personas and journey maps to visualise user goals, pain points, and interactions.
Deliverables: Research findings, personas, journey maps, and a clear problem statement or opportunity space.
2. Wireframes & Prototypes
Low-Fidelity Wireframes: Sketch the structure and flow of screens to validate functionality and layout.
Iterate with Feedback: Refine based on input from stakeholders.
Interactive Prototypes: Build clickable prototypes to demonstrate user flows and interactions for testing and approval.
Deliverables: Wireframes and interactive prototypes created in tools like Figma or Sketch.
3. Usability Testing
Plan Usability Tests: Define tasks for users to complete using the prototype.
Conduct Testing: Observe real users interacting with the design, gathering feedback on pain points or confusion.
Analyse Results: Identify areas of improvement and prioritise changes.
Iterate Design: Refine wireframes and prototypes based on insights from testing.
Deliverables: Test plans, user feedback reports, and updated designs.
4. Collaborative Handoff
Document Design: Provide annotated wireframes, specifications, and interaction notes.
Facilitate Handoff: Work closely with developers, ensuring the design intent is accurately translated into the final product.
Provide Support: Address questions, review builds, and ensure fidelity to the original vision.
Deliverables: Design documentation, and ongoing support during implementation.

What's included

  • Kickoff Call

    A call to understand goals, stakeholders, and constraints and align expectations and project timelines.

  • Proposal and Agreement

    Define scope, deliverables, timeline. Secure agreement to formalise the engagement.

  • Discovery and Research (Optional - on request)

    Conduct user research: User interviews, surveys, competitive analysis. Journey Mapping: Visualise user goals, pain points, and opportunities. All the findings will be collated in a PDF file.

  • Ideation and Conceptualisation

    Brainstorming and concept sketches. Low-fidelity wireframes to validate ideas. (At this point we will have a call together to provide feedback)

  • Wireframes and Prototypes

    Mid/High-Fidelity Wireframes: Layout and functionality of the complete product. Create Interactive prototype (At this point we will have a call together to provide feedback)

  • User Testing (Optional - on request)

    Even if this is optional, I never recommend skipping this step as it is crucial for a great user experience. Create test plan, conduct usability testing. Incorporate feedback into design iterations and create a summary of the feedback in a separate document. (Users will be recruited by the stakeholder but I can provide the requirements for recruitment)

  • Handoff

    I will hand off the entire journey to you & source files and all reports (from research and usability testing).
