About this service

Summary

I designed Coursetoma, a mobile-first learning app that helps users manage courses, collaborate in real-time, and share educational resources effortlessly. What makes this design unique is its community-driven UX, built to foster connection, clarity, and continuous learning all wrapped in a sleek, intuitive interface. It’s a complete UI/UX solution for modern eLearning platforms looking to boost engagement and retention.

Process

1. Discovery & Strategy Alignment
The project began with a discovery session to understand Coursetoma’s mission: building a mobile app where users can manage courses, collaborate with peers, and share learning materials. I aligned design goals with business objectives and identified key user needs for a seamless eLearning experience.
2. User Research & Persona Development
I conducted qualitative research on students and educators to uncover pain points with current course platforms. This helped shape realistic personas, guiding the user-centered design approach to meet real academic and social learning challenges.
3. Information Architecture & Feature Mapping
With a strong focus on mobile usability, I outlined core features like course tracking, peer discussion, and resource sharing. I created intuitive user flows to simplify how learners navigate content, manage tasks, and connect in a collaborative learning space.
4. Wireframes & UX Flow Design
Low-fidelity wireframes were developed to map screen hierarchies and interactions. I prioritized clear structure, task-based navigation, and easy onboarding, ensuring the app would work intuitively for new users.
5. UI Design & Visual Identity
Using modern visual principles, I designed a clean, engaging interface with consistent typography, vibrant accents, and smart iconography. The UI reflected a youthful, academic tone while supporting accessibility and responsive mobile design standards.
6. Prototyping & Usability Testing
An interactive prototype was built in Figma, simulating tasks like joining a course, uploading notes, or chatting with peers. Feedback from real users validated the app’s usability and learner engagement potential.
7. Developer Handoff & Final Deliverables
I organized all assets into a well-documented Figma file, complete with components, design specs, and interaction guidelines. This streamlined developer collaboration and ensured efficient handoff for implementation.
