Process

🦷 Dentra Clinic Dashboard – End-to-End UI/UX Design Process

1. Project Discovery & Stakeholder Alignment

To kick off, I conducted a discovery session with the Dentra team to understand their goals, core functionalities, and user pain points. This helped define the product vision, target users (clinic staff, dentists, admins), and scope of the dental practice management dashboard.

2. User Research & Persona Development

I analyzed real-world clinic workflows and common software gaps. Based on this, I created user personas representing front-desk staff, dentists, and clinic managers. This ensured the UX design directly addressed user needs such as appointment scheduling, accessing patient records, and viewing performance insights.

3. Information Architecture & Feature Mapping

I structured the content and features into a clear sitemap and dashboard layout. Key modules like Patient Overview, Appointment Management, Treatment Progress, and Clinic Analytics were prioritized to improve accessibility and reduce friction in daily use.

4. Wireframing & Interaction Flows

Low-fidelity wireframes were designed to outline the dashboard navigation, component hierarchy, and interaction patterns. I focused on designing a clean admin interface that minimizes cognitive load and improves task efficiency across devices.

5. Visual UI Design & Design System Creation

I developed a modern UI style using a professional dental-inspired color scheme (cool blues, whites, and muted tones), soft edges, and clean typography. I also built a scalable design system for consistency including reusable components, grids, iconography, and spacing rules.

6. Prototyping & Real-Time User Testing

A clickable prototype was built to simulate real user journeys such as creating appointments, searching for patient histories, and monitoring clinic metrics. I ran quick usability tests with mock users to validate the user experience and optimize key workflows.

7. Responsive Design & Developer Handoff

I ensured the dashboard was fully responsive across desktop and tablet, and prepared a pixel-perfect, developer-friendly handoff using Figma. All components were well-documented for scalability and handoff efficiency.
