This service is for those that wish to discover and design their product from scratch, or, those that need to revisit their products so they can make improvements.
What's included
Interview of You
We will establish the product you wish to make, on what platforms, with the goals of your business and your product, KPIs, and initiate a roadmap.
User Personas
We will establish the users of the product you wish to make, and you will receive 2-3 personas that define who would using your product.
User Journey
The user journey describes how the users interact with your product, their emotions, their decision making process, and the outcome of that interaction.
Competitive Research
Unless you're making a bespoke product someone has never seen before, we will be analyzing what your competitors do well and what they don't. With this information, we can build a better experience.
User Flow
We will establish the flow(s) we think the user will take through your product, defining where they may have interactions, decisions, what interacts with data/APIs, etc
Ideation Wireframes
With the initial planning good to go, we are now ready to begin ideating on wireframes and mapped to the user flow. If this is a digital product and you plan on releasing on mobile, we will begin there, which would be answered in step 1: Interview with You.
You will receive Mobile, Tablet, and Desktop designs, whichever is needed for your product.
Wireframe Prototype
Wireframes will be turned into a prototype based on the user flow.
Initial User Testing and Synthesis
We will test on usertesting.com, at your expense, to validate the ideas created in the wireframe prototype. The outcome of the study will be synthesized for you and will help drive the next steps.
Iteration on Wireframes (optional) and another User Test
Whether the prototype was successful or not, there may be feedback that we still need to incorporate to address any issues.
Concept Mockups, Mobile, Tablet and Desktop
We will establish a few core screens in the various views to establish the look and feel. This does not include establishing a new brand identity, which would be an additional service.
Final Mockups
Based on the chosen concepts, the designs will be updated to match. There is room for light iteration.
Final Prototype with Mockups (optional)
We may perform one more study using the final mockups, based on the initial studies and perhaps expanded into other areas of your product. This could be used for a user study or just kept for your own use.
Final User Study (optional, additional charge, invoiced and then executed)
Going back to usertesting.com, we may perform one last study to validate the experience, which will be synthesized again.
At this point, the interaction is basically complete. Further service for polish would require another contract.
