Branding Process Overview
01 / Before We Get Started
After you sign your contract and pay your deposit, we’ll have our brand clarity workshop to talk about your vision for your business and all of the things that we need to accomplish through our project. Think of this as our brainstorming session to clearly define your brand values, personality, target audience and how you want to stand out from competitors.
02 / Creative Direction
Before diving into the design process, we’ll outline your brand vision, values, personality, audience and competitor analysis to provide a clear idea of what design decisions will align with our goals. This step is all about making sure that we have meaning and strategy behind our design work.
03 / Design Concept Exploration
With a clear direction, we’ll begin the actual design process. At this point, I'll explore avenues that both align with your brand values and will connect with your audience. The strongest concept will then be prepared for the first presentation.
04 / Refining the Concept
From here, we'll discuss any refinements necessary to push the concept to a place that will truly resonate and connect with your community. We’ll likely go through 1–2 rounds of refining your brand and getting it to a place that you feel confident in.
05 / Brand Style Sheet or Guidelines
Once your brand package is complete, I want to make sure you have all of the tools and guidance you need to use your new branding confidently. I’ll prepare a guide and some resources that will outline how to use all of your brand elements consistently and strategically.
06 / Collateral
Finally, we'll create any collateral pieces included in your package. If you need collateral pieces to be editable, I will create them as templates that you can use again and again. And if you need help communicating with printers for printed collateral, I'm happy to do that for you as well.

What's included

  • FULL BRAND STRATEGY

    Developing a strategy will address the most important aspects of your brand and determine a strong visual direction moving forward.

  • PRIMARY & ALTERNATE LOGO LOCKUPS

    The main logo will include your business name and additional supporting elements such as an illustration or tagline. A few added lockups are designed to work in various contexts.

  • COLOUR PALETTE & FONT SYSTEM

    Colour and type reinforces brand recognition, builds a connection with your audience, and further represents the values of your business.

  • BRAND STYLE SHEET

    This is a one-page overview of your entire identity system that you and your collaborators can use for reference. The style sheet includes logos, colours, typography, and a mini moodboard.
