What's the service structure?
Typically, the structure goes: Month 1: Discovery + SEO Strategy roadmap Discovery calls with the founders, CEO, CMO and product managers. Additional user research. Setup of communication channels. Conducting keyword research. Auditing organic attribution and setting up our SEO dashboards in your data platform of choice. Key deliverable: SEO Strategy. Here I would lay out step by step on what we need to accomplish and how long it would take. Forecasting the costs and the targeted MRR goals. Month 2+: Implementation Working together with product design to improve and create new landing pages. Working with internal or outsourced copywriters to implement our content marketing strategy. Implementing other findings discovered in discovery calls and SEO strategy roadmap.
How long does it take for first results to show?
It largely depends on the state of your product and brand. For market newcomers, I would expect first results to show in 2-3 months, usually with new algorithm updates. For established, at least top 5 brands in their market, first results can come in a matter of few weeks.
How do you make sure we stay aligned throughout the time we work together?
Typically I'm available during working hours on Slack for quick problem solves. With the person accountable for SEO results (CMO/CEO/Founder) we establish weekly or bi-weekly calls where we go over results and upcoming priorities. For calls with content or product teams, I am available ad-hoc for calls, email or Slack messages. At the end of each quarter we also do a broader market review where we check on competitor tactics and present the brand's position in the general market and how is it moving in terms of the organic channel specifically.

So, what's so different about fractional SEO, compared to freelancers or agencies? Fractional SEO differs from typical agency or freelance work as I would prioritize communication and goal-setting with project stakeholders, instead of leaving it is an after-thought to do once all the deliverables are sent via email or DMs. My goal is to become an integrated part of your product team - too often SEO initiatives die out because of poor communication, little involvement from stakeholders and miscommunication of SEO ROI.

What should your brand's SEO focus be on the upcoming year? Laying out quarterly goals to implement annual strategy direction. Usually strategy is implemented in 3-5 months. After that we review results and re-negotiate a lower maintenance plan to maintain the results.
SEO ROI Measurement
Is the money we invest in SEO getting results? Measuring ROI of SEO: organic attribution audit, SEO result dashboard, setting revenue goals and forecasts.
Technical SEO Audit
Are there any technical issues that affect our performance? Website audit to find critical technical errors that impact the site's results. Most focus here is on rendering issues so it's not applicable to all projects.
Positioning in Organic Search
How users see your brand in the market, when they are searching for your product category? Finding solutions to stand out and connect with the users. Product offer creation for cold-warm traffic.
Content Management
Who would be doing all the work? I will be the key touchpoint for creating landing page briefs and blog article briefs. Briefs will lay out instructions on what's needed to be done to design and copywriter teams. I would be working together with your team directly, keeping communication fast in Slack or other messaging platforms. No emails, no slow-downs. Additionally, I can outsource key parts of the strategy implementation if you lack product design or copywriting resources.
