Process

Research & Discovery: We begin by diving deep into understanding your business, goals, and audience. Through in-depth discussions and research, we gather all the essential information to fully comprehend your project. This phase ensures we are completely aligned with your vision and objectives right from the start. For us, this foundational step is crucial for a successful outcome. We dedicate significant attention and respect to this part of the process. In simple terms, we ask: Who are you? Why do you exist? What challenges are you trying to solve? And what’s at stake for you?
Strategy: Next, we develop a strategic plan tailored to your specific needs. This involves setting clear goals, identifying key challenges, and outlining what success looks like for you. Our strategy phase lays the groundwork for a focused and effective design process. This ensures that all our efforts are directed towards achieving your desired outcomes. Whether we are working on your brand, your digital touch-points like your website or any other marketing collateral, we take a long-term view to ensure that the solution we create for you has longevity.
Design: With a solid strategy in place, we move on to the design phase. Here, we create visual and functional designs based on the insights and data collected. For us, this starts with creating what we call stylescapes. By curating a set of possible design directions befitting your project we define the art direction appropriate to your target audience. This takes the form of curated examples of design movements through the lens of your project. Working from low to high-fidelity, your project comes to life according to real insights gathered during the discovery phase and in collaboration with you.
Production: Once the design is finalised, we then start to apply it to the in-scope project deliverables. For branding projects, that might include the full sweep of assets appropriate to your brand touch points. This usually includes marketing collateral and, costed separately, your business website.
Rollout & Launch: The final step is launching your project and ensuring it performs optimally. Luminous Industries will handle all aspects of the launch throughout the deployment process. Post-launch, we will invite you to subscribe to our ongoing monitoring program. Our program keeps an eye on the performance of your project whether that be a website, app or brand. We identify any changes in user trends, technology or performance to make sure your project is still fit for purpose.   From the outset, we are confident of our solutions but over time user behaviours and markets change. Understanding these trends and how to leverage them to improve the experience of your website and other touchpoints ensures that they are current, helping you to retain and increase your market share.

What's included

  • Brand Cheatsheet

    A set of three posters that can be proudly hung, but which also serve a practical purpose too. These posters present the brand values, mission and tone of voice while also presenting the logo usage in various situations. The posters will also present the design systems and example imagery for both printed and digital use.

  • Brand Guidelines

    A comprehensive set of instructions which describes the proper implementation of the brand to ensure consistency across several main touch points. The book is delivered as an interactive presentation in Figma Slides as well as a PDF document. It will describe in detail the brand colours, typographic system(s), and logo usage, as well as present examples of how it could be applied to various scenarios.

  • Logo Files

    The logo will be handed over as outlined vector files in both RGB and CMYK formats for use as needed in print and digital design.

  • Artwork for Business Stationery

    The business stationery includes and is limited to: • Business Cards • 3x Social Media Banners (of the client's choosing) • 5x Powerpoint slide templates, including the front, back and three content page templates • 8-page brochure in either digital or print format. NOTE: Printed materials (Printed Brochure, if chosen and Business Cards) can be printed and supplied at extra cost upon request by the client.
