About this service

Summary

I come from the start-up world where I held six distinct roles on five teams with nine managerial changes. Project Management and Operations is my bread and butter and I like to think of my three-year Product Management experience as the honey on top. Within these specialities, you can expect me to foster a fast-paced and highly collaborative partnership while taking risks, learning quickly and having fun.

Process

My approach to a new body of work is always the same. I find this provides a foundation of trust right away and allows space for honest feedback and communication. Here are the four big buckets I use to ensure a collaborative and productive partnership:
Initial Conversations: I like to refer to this as my "Around the World" time. I chat with key folks involved in a project to understand all aspects of current state, must haves, needs, wants, pain points and what is going well.
Compilation + Plan Creation: If there isn't already a plan in place with accountable parties, tasks, dependencies and key milestones identified, that is built in collaboration with key project team members. I find this continues to build trust, partnership and accountability within my peers.
Execution: We communicate our plan and get to work! Throughout the process, there are consistent check ins including (but often dependent on existing team operations): stand ups, longer planning meetings once milestones are hit and leadership sessions.
Review and Release: Once work is completed, it's my job to ensure all requirements are completed, QA'ed and approved. Scope of work is delivery is reviewed with stakeholders and project team. I like to host a release or launch party to celebrate all the work that was completed. We also review all metrics to track for project success.
