Introducing Hobbyverse šāØ
I have a feeling I'm not the only one with way too many hobbies. š
The problem is that every hobby seems to live somewhere different. You save inspiration on Pinterest, watch tutorials on YouTube, share your work on Instagram, ask questions on Reddit or Discord... and before you know it, you've got 42 tabs open and a brand-new interest you definitely didn't need.
So I started wondering...
What if every hobby had its own planet... all in one shared universe? š
That's Hobbyverse.
A playful social platform where every hobby has its own interactive world to explore. Instead of jumping between apps, you can discover inspiration, share your creations, connect with people who love the same things, and maybe even find your next obsession.
Every creation you share becomes a collectible Stamp on that hobby's planet, while every planet you explore gets added to your personal Hobby Passport, turning curiosity into something you can actually collect.
Not ready to share your work? No problem. You can stay completely anonymous, quietly wander through the universe, save inspiration, interact with the community, and start posting whenever you feel like it.
The goal is simple: bring the fragmented hobby experience into one place and make discovering new passions feel like exploring a tiny creative galaxy.
Features:
š Interactive 3D planets, each dedicated to a different hobby.
š® Share your creations as collectible Stamps.
š Fill your Hobby Passport by exploring and contributing to different hobby worlds.
š¤ Stay anonymous if you prefer to explore before sharing.
š¬ Connect with fellow hobbyists from around the world.
š Discover new hobbies just by exploring nearby planets.
ā Create entirely new hobby planets so the universe can keep growing.
How Hobbyverse came to life:
āļø Figma Design to design the complete experience, create the UI, components, interactions, and generate AI placeholder images to populate the hobby communities.
š Figma Make to generate the first interactive version of the website and the initial Hobbyverse galaxy.
š Figma MCP + Claude Code to rapidly iterate on the first version, refine the experience, and build the final interactive prototype.
š Figma Weave + Blender to create and customize the hobby planets, materials, and textures that give each world its own personality.
This started as a fun "what if?" idea and quickly became a love letter to curiosity, creativity, and everyone who's ever accidentally picked up a new hobby after watching just one video.
Because let's be honest... none of us are stopping at just one. š
