DignaCare

DignaCare is a flexible sensor that easily attaches to the exterior of an incontinence product, and alertsstaff when a change is necessary through a user-friendly app and web portal.

Initially before my time, the solution had a NodeJS-based IoT data processor and a CouchDB. Both ofthem were hosted on AWS EC2 instances. The major problem it had was that the data processor usedto crash at least once a month, which impacted the entire operation.

I first re-designed the IoT data processor from scratch using serverless technologies such as AzureFunctions, Event Hub, Service Bus, Redis, Blob Storage, Managed Identity, and MongoDB Atlas. Suchapproach 100% re-solved all the severe issues it had and provided better performance. Plus it becomesresilient enough to handle millions of IoT data.

The System is used by 500 active Users at least. Soon the number will reach to ~2000.

I also developed a NestJS-based API to serve the needs of the mobile app and user portal. Finallyhosted them on Azure using Docker, Azure App Service, which provided ease of maintenance, betterperformance, and predictable cost.

Later on, in early 2021 , I, along with my tech lead, migrated the entire system from NodeJS to C# andASP.NET Core. In addition to the existing Infrastructure, we added Azure SQL Database, Azure SignalRand Azure AD.

One of my key responsibilities was to explore and implement new technologies based on the projectrequirements. Consequently, I took the lead in proposing and integrating various technologies, includingAzure AD, Azure SignalR, Managed Identity, Azure Key Vault and more.

Additionally, I developed and made significant contributions to the Azure pipelines to facilitate theCI/CD process.
