This project was to be to convert the Photoshop file into a functional web design. This involves slicing the PSD file into individual image assets and writing HTML and CSS code to create the necessary layout and design elements. This process was to involve careful attention to detail to ensure that the resulting design is faithful to the original PSD file.
Once the design has been translated into a functional web design, the next step was to develop a WordPress theme itself. This involved writing a PHP code to create the necessary template files, such as header.php, footer.php, and index.php, as well as custom post types and taxonomies to organize and display the portfolio content.
To ensure that the theme is easy to use and maintain, we have also include options and settings for customizing the theme's appearance and functionality. This involves using a plugin such as Advanced Custom Fields or developing our own custom settings page.
Throughout the development process, we will be testing and debugging the theme to ensure that it functions properly, is free of errors and glitches, and provides a seamless user experience. This involves using a range of testing tools and methodologies, such as automated testing frameworks, manual testing, and user acceptance testing.
Once the theme was complete, we will work with the creative agency to deploy the theme to their website, and will continue to monitor and maintain the theme to ensure that it remains up-to-date, secure, and performs well.
