Welcome To Arizona is a dynamic group dedicated to showcasing the wonders of Arizona. With a mission to foster tourism and disseminate up-to-date information about all the exciting happenings in Arizona, this passionate team works tirelessly to bring the best that the Grand Canyon State offers.
Their team reached out to me about creating a shirt design that highlights the iconic landscape of Arizona.
The original inspiration was to create a concept that took ideas from Patagonia graphic design elements and National Park merchandise designs. I initially presented their team with three distinct concepts.
Concept A
This design is my interpretation of Patagonia's graphical design elements. I felt this was one of my more conservative attempts at creating a unique idea for the client.
Concept B
This design was an idea that leaned more into a clean and simple concept that highlighted the iconic landscapes and elements of Arizona
Concept C
This design was essentially my most abstract interpretation of what that client was looking for, but I still wanted to ground it so that it was still a workable concept.
However, the client wanted to move closer to the style of National Park merchandise so I research more National Park shirts and create a final concept that the client finally decided upon
This design is a strong emphasis on Concept B while taking in a lot of client feedback. We were able to land on this idea that really showcases the beauty of Arizona's landscape and beauty
