✧ Language Aesthetics: A Micro Essay ✧
On texture and human pulse in communication
What is it that makes language feel human?
There is a richness, a thickness to it. The density of a jungle of intertwined experiences. The depth of an ocean of associations brewing in the shadow.
A lifetime of acquired taste, discernment, and growth. We can tell when something is off. When it hasn’t been dreamed by a human life.
Even if we don’t consciously know-know. We know. The metallic aftertaste that lingers.
We’re tired of it. That sterile perfection that claims to know everything. You can feel the weariness in your bones.
We are starving for something real: clumsy, bumpy, smelly, rough. We’ve become so unaccustomed to it that imperfection has become shockingly memorable.
So what kind of presence do you want your words to leave behind?
