Overview

Minexa.ai is a web-data extraction platform that helps users turn webpages into clean, structured datasets.
Through its Chrome extension, users can open a webpage, allow Minexa to detect its structure, confirm the relevant data, and export the results without manually writing selectors or building a custom scraper.
For developers and technical teams, the same trained scraper can be reused through an API to process larger groups of URLs and connect the extracted data with existing workflows.
The product was technically powerful, but the website needed to make that power feel understandable, credible, and easy to adopt.

The Challenge

Web-data extraction is a technical category with a naturally high level of complexity.
The website had to communicate several connected ideas:
• How Minexa identifies data on a webpage • Why users do not need to write CSS selectors or XPath • How one trained scraper can be reused • How the Chrome extension and API work together • What makes the output reliable • Which export and integration options are available • How the product serves both non-technical users and developers
The biggest challenge was balancing simplicity with technical credibility.
If the website became too technical, less-experienced users could assume the product was difficult to use. If it became too simplified, developers could question its accuracy, reliability, and suitability for real workflows.
The experience needed to make Minexa feel approachable without reducing it to another vague “AI-powered” promise.

My Role

I led the website strategy, copy, UI/UX design, and development, turning a technically complex product into a clearer product-led experience.
My responsibilities included:
• Website structure and information hierarchy • Product-focused UI/UX design • Visual direction and design-system development • Organizing technical features around user outcomes • Product-interface presentation • Responsive website development • Reusable sections and components • Interaction and motion design • Cross-device quality assurance • Final implementation and launch preparation

Creating One Clear Product Story

Rather than introducing Minexa through a long list of technical capabilities, I structured the experience around one understandable workflow:
Choose a webpage.
Let Minexa identify the structure and available data.
Confirm the extraction setup.
Run the scraper and receive structured results.
Reuse the same setup through the extension or API.
This gave visitors a clear mental model before asking them to understand more advanced capabilities.
The rest of the website could then introduce automation, detail-page extraction, pagination, structured exports, API workflows, and larger use cases without losing the visitor in technical terminology.

Designing for Two Different Audiences

Minexa serves two audiences with different expectations.
Non-technical users want to know that they can collect useful data without writing code, inspecting HTML, or manually selecting every field.
Developers and technical teams want to understand how the scraper can be reused, how the output is structured, and how the API fits into an existing pipeline.
I designed the website so both audiences could enter through the same core product story before moving toward the information most relevant to them.
The Chrome extension communicated accessibility and speed.
The API and technical sections communicated reusability, structured output, and scalability.
This allowed the website to remain focused without forcing every visitor through the same level of technical detail.

Showing the Product Instead of Hiding Behind AI Language

For a technical SaaS product, abstract AI graphics would not provide enough proof.
The website needed to show what the product actually does.
I used product-led visuals to communicate key moments in the workflow, including:
• Page and structure detection • Data-field identification • Pagination handling • Extraction configuration • Structured results • Export options • Reusable scrapers • API-based workflows
These visuals reduced the amount of explanation required and helped visitors understand the relationship between the original webpage, the Minexa workflow, and the final structured output.
The product became the main visual story rather than a secondary screenshot placed below generic marketing claims.

Communicating Reliability

One of the most important parts of the product story was reliability.
Minexa needed to be differentiated from tools that generate plausible-looking output without maintaining a predictable relationship with the original page structure.
The website therefore emphasized a more controlled workflow:
• The user can review what Minexa detects • The scraper is connected to a known page structure • The same configuration can be reused • Structured fields remain consistent across compatible pages • Missing information is not replaced with invented values
This helped position the product around dependable data extraction rather than novelty alone.

Structuring the Conversion Journey

The website was structured to move visitors from initial understanding toward product adoption.
The journey introduced:

Product-interface demonstrations
Key differentiators
Extension and API use cases

A clear path to getting started
Each section answered a specific buyer question rather than repeating the same features in different layouts.
The result was a more deliberate customer journey in which product education and conversion worked together.

The Visual Direction

The visual direction was designed to balance technical confidence with simplicity.
The website needed to feel capable enough for developers and data-focused teams while remaining approachable for people who had never created a scraper before.
I created a consistent visual system around:
• Clear typography and content hierarchy • Product-centered interface compositions • Structured feature and workflow sections • Controlled use of contrast and visual emphasis • Consistent cards, containers, and spacing • Purposeful interaction and animation • Strong calls to action • Responsive layouts across desktop and mobile
Motion was used to clarify progression, reveal product behavior, and guide attention—not simply to decorate the page.

Building a Scalable Website System

The project was built as a reusable website system rather than a collection of isolated sections.
I created repeatable patterns for:
• Navigation and page headers • Product demonstrations • Feature explanations • Workflow sections • Use-case presentations • Technical content • Comparison and proof sections • Calls to action • Pricing and conversion areas • Responsive behavior
This created a consistent experience while giving the website enough flexibility to support future product capabilities, use cases, documentation, and marketing campaigns.

Responsive Development

I translated the final design into a responsive Framer website with reusable components, structured layouts, and consistent behavior across breakpoints.
Particular attention was given to:
• Product visuals on smaller screens • Typography and line length • Section spacing • Navigation behavior • Content stacking • Animation performance • Button and interaction states • Visual hierarchy across screen sizes
The goal was not simply to shrink the desktop design.
Each section was adapted so the product story remained understandable and the primary conversion path remained clear on mobile.

The Result

The completed website transformed a technically complex web-data product into a clearer and more accessible product experience.
The project delivered:
• A focused product narrative • A clearer explanation of the extraction workflow • Separate relevance for non-technical users and developers • Product-led visuals grounded in the real interface • Stronger presentation of reliability and structured output • A consistent responsive design system • Reusable components for future website growth • A polished production-ready implementation
The result was more than a visual redesign.
It gave Minexa a clearer way to explain what the product does, how it works, why its approach is different, and how users can move from a webpage to structured data without building an extraction system from scratch.
