To revolutionize mental health support by creating a pioneering online platform that offers seamless, personalized connections with dedicated professionals, ensuring accessible, timely assistance for individuals worldwide, complementing crisis hotlines, and prioritizing patient-centric care.
Problem Statement
The current mental health support system presents barriers for individuals in need, with limited access to timely, affordable, and flexible assistance from qualified professionals. The traditional approach, based on rigid one-hour sessions and fixed pricing, restricts users and practitioners. Insurance coverage is insufficient, and gaps arise due to scheduling issues. However, an opportunity exists to develop a patient-centric online platform that connects individuals with qualified mental health providers in real time, offering adaptable and personalized support without replacing crisis hotlines, thus revolutionizing the delivery of mental health services.

TherapEase is an innovative mental health application (as a portal, similar to how Synapse connects students with instructors and content and similar to how Uber connects users with available drivers) that prioritizes accessibility to quality mental health professionals, offering flexible and convenient patient care.
