Birchford caters to the technology needs of banks, money exchange firms, and financial institutions engaged in the movement of monies worldwide. Whether it is currency exchange, cross-border payments, KYC, risk & compliance, SWIFT implementation or outsourcing of crucial KPO or BPO services.

Birchford.com, a distinguished player in the financial services sector, embarked on a mission to rejuvenate its digital presence in order to better serve its global clientele in banking, finance, and money exchange. As the UX Designer and Front-End Developer for this project, my goal was to enhance the website's user experience (UX) while preserving the brand's integrity.

Birchford.com was already a live website, and the challenges were twofold:

User-Centric Redesign : The website required a comprehensive UX redesign to ensure that users could easily access information and navigate through a diverse range of financial services offered across various industries.

Maintaining Brand Consistency : While enhancing UX, we had to ensure that the new design seamlessly aligned with Birchford's established brand image and values.

Our journey to transform Birchford.com followed a meticulous process :

User Research : Understanding the needs and preferences of Birchford's clients, spread across four continents, was the foundational step. This helped us identify pain points and opportunities.

User-centred Design : We reimagined the website's UX, simplifying complex financial information into digestible content and intuitive navigation. The eleven solutions and four services were structured for easy exploration.

Visual Overhaul: The website's aesthetics were refreshed, aligning with Birchford's brand identity while adopting a modern, user-friendly design.

Front-End Development : I personally coded the front-end, ensuring that the UX design seamlessly translated into a responsive and interactive web experience.

Usability Testing : Real users from the banking, finance, and money exchange sectors provided feedback, which drove iterative design refinements.
