Jamie came to me because she loved recording content... but she didn't love editing it.

She communicated to me how much she wanted to start her Youtube channel, but told me she was paralyzed by the thought of trying to figure out the softwares and intricacies of cutting together the episodes.

Feeling overwhelmed by the editing process, Jamie hired me for a recurring contract where I-

Cut the video footage together into cohesive episodes

Mix the audio so everything sounds balanced & clean

Add text overlays, graphic animations, and floating images

Exported files for simple uploading to her Youtube Channel

Jamie and I analyzed the rough cut edits of her videos until the style fit her personal brand and she was 100% happy with her final video.

Milanote for project coordination, Dropbox for file sharing, Pixabay for audio assets, Adobe Premiere Pro for video editing, Youtube as the platform.

Here's what that looked like working together-

Jamie started by uploading an inspiration video to our project board on milanote from a youtube creator who's editing style she wanted to emulate.

She provided links on our project board to her dropbox folders with the raw footage & let me know a rough idea of how she wanted the story of the video to go and what elements she wanted added (google maps, texts, background music & sound effects).

I got to work editing a "rough cut" or first draft of her video and uploaded it for her to give me feedback.

I reworked the video and when Jamie was fully happy with her episode, I exported her file, optimized for Youtube and sent that to her via Dropbox for her to post when it fit into her content schedule.

I've been thrilled to make her channel come to life by helping her edit her vlog and get it off the ground.
