Researching the clients' previous blogs was essential to learning the language in which they wanted the blog to be written. Should it be more casual, informational, etc.? What style guide do they follow, if any? Knowing the answers to these questions helps not only in copywriting, but in editing as well. In this instance, it ensured that I delivered the best possible edits and/or feedback to the client, according to their wishes.
