Beyond the Dead

This project was initially going to be a reskin of an RPG+ Funzio game. To improve usability I redesigned the experience of nearly every game feature. I achieved this by simplifying user task flows and established clear objectives for each screen. Since these types of games were new to me, I had to get into the mindset of our whale players by developing personas for our users and researching competitive games. My goal was to do as much as I could to make Beyond the Dead its own unique experience. I defined the look and feel of the UI, delegated UI/UX tasks to engineers, game designers, and UX/UI designers, and streamlined the UI implementation process. The wireframes I created became the central piece of reference for the game’s features and was relied upon throughout the development process. This documentation defined each screen in the game and gave engineers a blueprint for what was needed. After the initial launch, I developed numerous live-ops ad templates. I made sure that it would be an easy and efficient process in creating assets. Since we were a small team we had limited resources to create custom event ads, which occured weekly. These processes that I implemented allowed for very low overhead to keep the game running.
