Concept / example workflow. This is a design example of the kind of Shopify automation I build, not a client case study, and it contains no client results.
The problem
Small Shopify stores spend hours every week on repetitive order handling: checking new orders, notifying the team, updating spreadsheets, answering "where is my order" messages, and spotting stock problems late.
The workflow (built with n8n and the Shopify webhooks/API)
New order → n8n receives the Shopify webhook and validates it.
Team alert → a short order summary goes to Slack or email, with flags for special cases (large order, pre-order, wrong address).
Customer follow-up → order confirmation and shipping-update messages sent from one place, using templates.
Reporting → orders written to a Google Sheet or CRM, with a daily summary of orders and revenue.
Stock watch → alert when a product drops below a set threshold.
Error handling → failed steps are logged and retried, and an alert is sent if something needs a human.
What I handle
Scoping the workflow with the store owner, building and testing it in n8n, connecting Shopify and the tools the team already uses, documenting it, and ongoing small changes as the store grows.
